Over the summer, Kailyn Lindsey completed the Washington Youth Tour, Georgia’s oldest and most prestigious leadership program for teens. Sponsored by Mitchell EMC, the Youth Tour selects outstanding high school students to represent their communities on an exciting, educational trip to Washington, D.C. Each year, students from across Georgia come together to explore our nation’s capital, meet with state leaders, and experience history where it was made.
Kailyn shared that she is especially thankful for the opportunity to explore Washington, D.C., alongside some of the most impressive young leaders from across the state. From visiting historic sites such as the Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and White House, to meeting Georgia’s senators and congressmen on Capitol Hill, the trip was filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
We are so proud of Kailyn for being selected as one of only four delegates from the Mitchell EMC area and for representing our school and community with excellence. Congratulations, Kailyn!
